Without a doubt, Tim Bailey has one of the most dynamic and diverse ministries around. Tim is a skilled musician, an extraordinary writer and composer, a gifted singer, an excellent producer, and an anointed preacher of the gospel. His multifacited ministry allows him to, as he puts it, "Become all things to all men that I might win some." Tim also says: "My ministry is one that inspires hope becasue hope has been a thread of consistency throughout the life of my ministry. Whether through the spoken word of God or through music, my aim is to give a glimmer of hope in God in the lives of the people who truly need it the most."
Tim is certainly no stranger to the gospel music industry with over two decades of offering life changing music that has and continues to be a blessing to people everywhere. Tim is an accomplished writer and has writen and composed songs for some of gospel music's most notable artists. Tim co-wrote "No One Else", "Bless The Lord" and "I've Been Delivered" with Pastor Smokie Norful on his highly acclaimed CD "Smokie Norful Live." Tim and Pastor Norful also collaborated and wrote the hit single "So Good To Me" recorded by Vanessa Bell-Armstrong on her "Walking Miracle" CD. The song was also featured on WOW Gospel 2007 and was certified gold. Tim has written songs for a number of other artists in the industry. Writing and composing is not only a passion for Tim, but a gifting. The songs that God pours through Tim are fresh, unique amd appropriately speak to the in times.
Tim Bailey began his musical journey in his hometown of Memphis TN. Early on, Tim's giftings were undeniable. He started playing drums at the age of 3 and by the age of 14, Tim was playing the piano without having taken any formal lessons. In 1990, Tim co-founded the “Orange Mound Community Choir” with his brother Jerald Bailey. Under Tim's leadership, the choir traveled the country ministering in song and recorded 4 CDs. Sixteen years with the choir helped Tim to hone and perfect his ministry abilities that prepred him for ministry on a larger scale. In 2002 his gift made room for him as he was appointed as Music Director for international recording artist Smokie Norful and one year later, Tim was elevated to Road Manager. Tim flourished as the Road Manager and the working relationship between Tim and Smokie developed into a brotherhood. In 2005, Pastor Norful launched Victory Cathedral Worship Center and asked Tim to be his assistant pastor.
In 2006, Tim and his family relocated to Chicago IL, where he served for four years as the Executive Assistant Pastor of “Victory Cathedral Worship Center” where Smokie Norful is the Senior Pastor. In 2009, Tim felt God calling him to serve an additional season in Memphis to a new ministry as the founder and Sr. Shepard of Destiny by Design Worship Center. During his season in Memphis the focus of community, evangelism and outreach was realized. Destiny by Design Worship Center amassed an amazing following of the unchurched, rededicated, and seasoned Christ followers to carry the banner of Christ everywhere their path would take them. In 2012, Tim Bailey’s season in Memphis had come full circle, leading he and his family back to Chicago to Pastor the south side Chicago location of “Victory Cathedral Worship Center” where he still serves today under the leadership of Sr. Pastor Smokie Norful.
Tim Bailey is a visionary that knows ministry far extends the corners of any church building, and is continuing to utilize his gifts and talents in the gospel music industry to spread the good news of Christ. On November 25th of 2014, Tim released his debut EP “I Believe God”. This CD is sure to bless everyone who hears it. "I Believe God", the EP, is a fresh new sound with songs dropped from the music room of heaven to impact the kingdom of God in an exciting way. It carries a message of hope timely for the current day situations of all mankind.
